ToolBest when you need…Check before relying on the result
Background RemoverClear subjects with good contrast, especially people or products that are visually distinct from the background.Inspect hair, fingers and semi-transparent edges at 100% zoom.
Compress ImagePhotos and screenshots that are larger than needed for their destination.Compare the new file size with the original.
Resize ImageCreating exact pixel dimensions or reducing oversized camera images before upload.Confirm final pixel dimensions.
Image UpscalerSmall graphics or photos that need a moderate size increase and smoother scaling than a basic nearest-neighbor resize.Compare the enlarged image at 100% rather than only fit-to-screen.
JPG to PNGMoving existing JPG content into PNG-based workflows or preparing an image for edits that may add transparency.Compare dimensions before and after.
PNG to JPGOpaque photos and screenshots where transparency is not needed and a smaller file is useful.Check what happened to transparent regions.
WebP ConverterWebsite images, modern browser workflows and situations where file size matters without giving up transparency.Open the converted file in the destination application.
Image to PDFPhone scans, photo evidence, design proofs and multiple images that need to travel as one document.Check page order and orientation.

Choose the tool by the result you actually need

Image work is mostly a balance between pixels, format, transparency and compression. Start with the highest-quality source you have, resize for the actual destination, then choose a format that matches the content.

Where browser tools have limits

JPEG works well for photos, PNG is strong for lossless graphics/transparency, and WebP can be efficient for modern web delivery. Upscaling can smooth enlargement but cannot recreate missing camera detail.

Each individual tool page includes its own examples, limitations and FAQs rather than repeating one generic set of promises across the category.
